Donations to Wilson Foundation Help Fund Newborn Hearing Equipment

Babies born at Wilson Memorial Hospital receive a test to determine whether or not they have a potential hearing problem. Recently, the hospital purchased new screening equipment with the help of donations made to the Wilson Memorial Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of the hospital.

Wilson Foundation to Celebrates CEO Retirement

The annual Wilson Memorial Hospital Foundation Ball will be held this year at the Piqua Country Club on Saturday, March 15 and will celebrate Thomas J. Boecker’s retirement from Wilson Memorial Hospital after more than forty years of service.  

After joining Wilson on October 3, 1973, Boecker served in various management positions until being named interim CEO on November 20,1997 and then, on  December 17, 1997, was elected President & CEO by the Wilson Memorial Hospital Board of Directors.

Instead of mailing Christmas cards to friends and relatives, area residents may choose to donate the money they would have spent on cards and postage to “Caring at Christmas,” an annual program to raise money for charity. This is the 21st year for Caring at Christmas and Wilson Hospice has once again been chosen to receive the donations.

Light Up A Life Ceremony 2013

Motorcyclists Ride For Wilson Hospice

For ten years an annual poker run hosted by the 47 Bar & Grill has raised funds for Wilson Hospice. This year a group of approximately 300 motorcyclists hopped aboard their bikes to continue this long-standing event.

2013 Golf Classic Nets Over $50,500 For Wilson Foundation

Shelby Oaks Golf Club in Sidney was the site for the 19th annual Wilson Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Classic on July 8. Net proceeds for the event were over $50,500, which will be used to build the Foundation’s general endowment fund. This fund provides perpetual support to Wilson Memorial Hospital. Total net funds raised since this event’s inception in 1995 are nearly $738,500.
