On May 21 the Wilson Memorial Hospital Board of Directors named Mark Dooley as the next president and CEO of the Hospital. He assumed that position on June 16.
Prior to joining Wilson Memorial, Mark was president and CEO of Clinton Memorial Hospital, a 135-bed acute care facility in Wilmington, Ohio. Dooley was responsible for improving the hospital’s patient and physician satisfaction scores from 55 percent to 75 percent in his first year. He was also instrumental in introducing process improvement in the ER to lower patient wait time, new services in geriatric psychiatry, cardiac catheterization services, pain management, vascular testing surgery and ENT.
“My background is in the areas of expanding and improving patient care, financial management and building growth. I am also passionate about creating and sustaining a great place for employees to work. WMH has a solid reputation and firm foundation to build upon. I am looking forward to joining the team that has made WMH successful,” Dooley said.
“We are pleased to name Mark as president and CEO of Wilson Memorial,” stated Tom Boecker, retiring president and CEO. “We couldn’t be happier to have someone with Mark’s sound knowledge and expertise leading the way.”
Dooley earned his Bachelor of Science, and Master’s of Business Administration from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He has relocated to Shelby County with his wife and five children.
